Team Role: Rider, Renewed CX Owner, and Operations Manager
Hometown: Breckinridge, Oklahoma, USA
Date of Birth: November 5, 1991
Years racing: 6 years
Pre-race ritual/Superstition: I generally have the same day structure for each race. I like to get my certain laps on the course at certain paces but that is about it. For the most part, I like to keep to myself, listen to music, and think about how I am going to race the race.
Race Day Breakfast: There is nothing better than a Marriott waffle, unless you have host housing, then pretty much everything is better.
Favourite Course: The UCI race in Cleveland was one of the funnest courses to ride. You were constantly turning, accelerating, and pushing the limits in the corners. Other than that, I generally like any course that is muddy or technical.
Most memorable cycling experience: I have so many memorable moments on the bike that were in training or in racing. Apart from my first UCI points and running in the front at Nationals, my most memorable race experiences came from smaller local races where all my family were present.
I got into cycling because ... I was a young kid with a broken body after too many years of motocross. I have always had a competitive drive and bicycles seemed to fit that roll when motocross was no longer an option.
I’m excited to race with Easton-Giant p/b TLC because ... it is a product of something I have been working on and dreamed of for so long. I had a vision to create a team and develop it into one of the best professional teams on the circuit. Through the partnership with Garneau-Easton and Renewed Cyclocross, we are there. It is a huge privilege to be apart of an organization that is pouring back into the development of the sport.
If I’m not riding, I’m .... most likely crawling on the floor with my daughter, making weird sounds, faces, and expressions.
